Grape Stomp - Fredericksburg, TX

When you think of harvest time in Fredericksburg, Texas, it’s hard not to think of grape stomping. Now that we have been open for 3 years, we decided it was time to join in the fun.
We are proud to say that our very first grape stomp was a smashing success!
Earlier this month, we invited our wine club members to join us for an intimate harvest gathering filled with grape-picking, stomping, and wine drinking.

Our sommelier, Andre Boada, began the day with a pep talk and shared the juicy details on tempranillo grapes.

Equipped with mimosas, gloves, and clippers we marched on over to our Joanna Vineyard to begin picking grapes.

Sammy led the way.

Good vibes were all around in the vineyard.

Filling up a bucket didn’t take long!

Our crew was on standby to help, but our members and their guests clearly were pros!

It was a true family affair as many of our employees brought their children and families along.

Everyone worked up an appetite. So we prepared a delicious spread for their return.

Also feeling thirsty, we broke out our 2019 Estate Tempranillo.

The Texas weather was ripe! We savored the glorious breeze and wine.

While sipping and relaxing, we had our very own production coordinator, Landon, play some tunes for us.

Where’s Lucy and Ethel when you need them?

Nevermind! We got Ann!

Now it is time to get smashed! The grape stomp begins!

After smashing the grapes, we finished the day by putting footprints on tea towels.

We love being a part of such great memories!

The day was wonderful in every way. Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate with us! We can not wait till next year to do it again!
